What Is PayPal?
PayPal is a secure way to send payments through the
Internet to anyone with an email address. Recipients are notified by email that
they have received a payment.
When To Use PayPal?
PayPal may be used to pay your SPI membership dues, auction balances, or sales
department orders. PayPal permits payments from various funding sources,
including all major credit cards, direct withdrawal from a bank account, or
debit from a PayPal balance. This is especially useful for overseas members as
PayPal is currently offered in 38 countries (to see if PayPal is offered in your
country, please visit: http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/approved_countries-outside.
What Does It Cost To Join PayPal?
Setting up an individual PayPal account is free. However, PayPal charges SPI
a fee for each transaction which we must, unfortunately, pass along to those
using this service. The fees are spelled out in Step 5 below.
