Bidding Regulations:

Bid Range Increment
$1 - $20 $0.50
$20 - $50 $1.00
$50 - $100 $2.50
over $100 $5.00
  1. All lots are sold to the highest bidder at one bidding increment over the second highest bid. Bids received in increments other than those shown above will be adjusted downward accordingly.
  2. On identical bids, the earliest postmark governs. Postal bids govern over email bids received the same day. If only one bid is received on a lot, then the lot is sold at the minimum or estimated bid provided that the bid is higher than the minimum or estimated bid.
  3. SPI reserves the right to withdraw any lot prior to the sale, or reject any bid believed not to have been made in good faith. Any bid not commensurate with the value of the offering may be rejected.
  4. Terms of sale are cash. Successful bidders will be notified of lots won and must remit payment before lots are mailed.
  5. No buyer’s premium is added to the sales price. There is no charge for executing bids. SPI is not responsible for bidder errors or omissions. Please check your bid sheet carefully before submitting.
  6. Postage charges are payable by the purchaser. Proof of mailing to the address shall constitute delivery.
  7. Should a claim for error of description arise, such claim should be made within three (3) days of receipt. Claims made after that time cannot be considered. Lots described as collections, mixtures, etc. are not returnable under any circumstances.
  8. The placing of bids shall constitute full acceptance of the foregoing terms.
  9. The Auction Manager will accept only funds in US dollar amounts.
  10. Up to four (4) photocopies will be sent at no charge with a self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE). Over four, the charge is 10 cents per copy for each item, plus a SASE. Up to four scans may be requested by email.
  11. SPI maintains a Paypal account at "treasurer@sportstamps.org." Please add 4% of the total if remitting by PayPal to cover our fees.
