SPI Best-of-Show Award
Sports Philatelists International, in order to encourage the
exhibiting of sport and Olympic thematic material, sponsors a Best-of-Show Award. Any philatelic society having a competitive exhibition using
American Philatelic Society (APS) or American Topical Association (ATA)
accredited judges may request the award.
Rules: The SPI Best-of-Show may be awarded at both adult and youth level exhibits, however the same exhibit may not receive the Best-of-Show award twice in a four year period (list of past winners). The criteria for awarding the SPI Best-of-Show are availabe in PDF format here.
The Award: The SPI Best-of-Show Award consists of a handsome diploma that is free to show committees. At its biennial convention, SPI presents a trophy along with the diploma.
Past Winners of the SPI Best-of-Show Award represent the top tier of Olympic and sport exhibits in the United States.
